Indie Magazine - Double Page Spread Analysis
The Double-Page Spread for the Indie magazine in this issue is likely to attract more of an audience than a normal week, this is because Lily Allen is more of a Pop Artist and so she would have more of a audience than Indie musicians, the Double Page Spread photo works well as you straight away know when you're on the page that the article is about Lily Allen.
There is not too much font and so people are more likely going to read it, with long interviews people are likely to get restless and end up not finishing it, however it is odd that the one quote form the article is almost twice as large as the actual article.

Indie Magazine - Contents Page Analysis
The contents page for this Indie magazine also has a similar colour scheme to the front cover. It is primarily black, white and red. There are also hints of yellow on this page, this is effective as the yellow font really stands out but at the same time is not all over the magazine and so does not overpower it.
The layout is basic and easy to understand, it is split into topics such as 'news' and 'reviews' this means it will be easier for the reader to find what they are looking for.
There is only a few different fonts on this page, but the different sizes makes it easier to differentiate and understand what everything as well as giving it a creative look.
The photo on the contents page is not actually that effective, it looks as if it has been taken on someones phone and it is too wide an angle to be able to tell straight away who it is. However the colours in the photo work well with the contents page and it is calm enough as to not overpower the text

Indie Magazine - Front Cover Analysis
NME magazine is a indie/alternative music magazine. You can tell it is Indie because of the colour scheme on the front page, Black and white and red are all indie colours and work well together as they do not overpower anything on the page.
The font styles are all bold and stand out which works well with Indie magazines, in comparison to pop magazines where you would see more italic fonts.
The artist on the front is clearly the focus of the magazine as she is taking up the whole page and her name is in bold at the bottom.
They have stuck to normal codes and conventions by having the title at the front and having the barcode, issue number and price on the front page.
